Hello neighbors, Inspired by Karen Marder's detailed New Years Resolution Matrices, I have begun my Year or Scientific Baking. My goal is to make at least 6 variations of a different type of bread every month. Since this is diametrically opposed to my other New Years Resolutions (read: stair climbing,) I would like to give one loaf of bread to each of you. In exchange, you would participate in that month's bread-tastiness survey. I will ask you to rate about 3 characteristics of the bread I give you on a scale of 1-10. At the end of the year, I will crunch the numbers and share with you the official Tastiest Loaf Recipe. Tomorrow is my first official experiment: it's my baseline survey. There will be 5 ingredients (bread, salt, yeast, water and sesame seeds) and I will vary 2 ingredients, the amount of salt and the amount of yeast. If you are interested in participating, there is no fee! All you have to do is eat the bread I give you. If you send you children to pick it up straight out of the oven, I will pay them a dollar for their delivery services. Please
